Become a Think Like a Pony Instructor

Be part of a different future...

Think Like a Pony are looking for enthusiastic people who would love to work towards instructorship. We can help you to achieve your dream of becoming a registered horsemanship and riding instructor.

When forming a relationship with the horse, you must understand the importance of leadership, trust and respect. When looking at horsemanship through the “eyes of the horse”, training becomes simple common sense. The Think Like a Pony instructor programme is jargon free and empowers students to develop their horsemanship, riding and teaching skills in a safe and welcoming environment. Lynn Henry, head of instructor training, has an exceptional ability to bring out the natural teacher in all Think Like a Pony trainee instructors. Because of this, students excel through the programme.

Think Like a Pony is an integrated approach and it is expected that all instructors have an understanding of foot balance, saddle fit, nutrition, musculoskeletal development and biomechanics. In order to help instructors to reach this standard, there is an ongoing support system for those training through their stages.

Training to be a Think Like a Pony instructor is affordable and achievable. At the moment, we have over 50 instructors working through the programme across the UK. If you would like more information about the instructor programme or you would like to have a chat about how Think Like a Pony can help you to achieve your dreams of instructorship then contact Sophie at sophie@thinklikeapony.co.uk or on 0782 533 8490

"The journey to Think Like a Pony Instructorship is fascinating. It has reinforced some things that I did know and believed but I have also learnt so much more. I love the ability it has given me to really question things (THINK), be it what or how I do something or what others might say or do. I think I feel more confident to question others and at the same time better committed to stick by my own instincts if I feel that is the right thing to do. That is hard for so many people in the horse world as there are so many ‘experts’ out there. Looking to the future, I feel so inspired to start my journey as a Think Like a Pony Instructor and to begin empower children and adults to develop their ability to Think Like a Pony”
