Testimonials

Gillian Mullholland from Ireland

My first experience of Think Like a Pony was when Lynn Henry presented a demonstration at my local Equestrian Centre in County Down, Ireland. I was so impressed with the way Lynn presented horsemanship in such an easy-to-understand way. I was inspired to learn more! Read more...

Sophie Scott, aged 11 from Aberdeenshire, Scotland

I first met Lynn a couple of years ago after I had picked up a leaflet in the local riding shop advertising her workshops. I loved the idea of learning to Think Like a Pony so my mum took my pony and I to a workshop in Scotland. I loved the workshop and wanted to learn more! I joined the think Like a Pony Club and now I love working through my journal with my new pony Ben! Read more...

Clare Langfield, Training to be a Think Like a Pony Instructor and Mother of Evie, 8

My Daughter, Evie had been having lessons at a Riding School for around 18 months. She absolutely loved it, but in typical riding school fashion, she would get there, be put on the pony and would spend half an hour walking, trotting and cantering round the menage. There was no skill involved, it was just a case of sit tight and don’t fall off!

I was lucky enough to meet Lynn Henry, and have the opportunity to join her Instructor course. Think Like a Pony is such a fantastic approach for children to learn how to ride a pony empathetically and in balance. Read more...

Rachel Jones, North Wales

My daughter and I attended a family Think Like a Pony demonstration in North Wales with the Think Like a Pony author and instructor, Lynn Henry. Despite the drizzly weather, I am now inspired to get out into the wet and spend time with my horse. The format of the day centered around two practical demonstration sessions. Using two local ponies, Lynn presented a highly entertaining but educational demonstration using simple horse psychology. I need not have worried about how I was going to keep Hannah entertained. She was enthralled. I just wish her school teachers could keep her attention for so long! Read more...

Jess Robinson aged 12 from Yorkshire

I've been riding for 5 or 6 years at a local riding school near me, and I was never happy with the way I was told to treat the ponies. I was told to kick and whip, and pull them about, and I hated it!! One christmas a few years ago, I received a book that just happened to be the Think Like a Pony Foundation Book. When I read it I found it really interesting and it made a lot more sense than what I had been already taught at the riding school. Read more...
